Scobee Middle School took open house to a new level by hosting our first Scobee Family Literacy night on Wednesday, September 25. Like a traditional open house, families collected student progress reports and got support with Parent Self Serve and student MAP scores.
Scobee administration, faculty, and students provided the literacy and fun! Families participated in educational activities including black-out poetry, paper helicopter building, historical figure searches, bookmark creation, and more.
Bibliotech, Bexar County’s digital public library, was available in the Scobee Library for families to sign up for library cards.
Families enjoyed student performances and showcases from the Tiger band, mariachi, choir, art, and theater. Scobee also kicked off its Book Are Fun fundraiser to help build student home libraries.
