We will also place an “ofrenda” at the main entrance that you are more than welcome to stop by and see (Oct 18 - Nov 2). The “ofrenda” will represent elements necessary for life on Earth, different types of food, and pictures of deceased family members. If you’d like, please send a picture of a loved one who has passed away so that it’s placed on the “ofrenda.” Please do not send cherished memento photos and instead send copies as this will be in an open area of the school and we do not want your memories to be damaged.

We are excited about this project and hope that your child is able to participate. Learning about culture helps us understand other people’s perspectives, patterns of behavior, and contributions to the world at large. If you are not comfortable with your child participating in this activity, please send an email to [email protected] with your child’s name and grade. An alternative assignment will be provided.

Please send pictures with your child by October 17th or drop them off at front office in with my name, name of your child and grade for a safe return.
