Welcome to the Scobee Library
Dial-A-Story
We are excited to share a wonderful new initiative from our Library Services team...Dial-A-Story! By calling 830-355-6455, families can enjoy a short story read aloud each week in English or Spanish. It’s a fun and easy way to make reading part of everyday life, whether you’re at home, in the car, or winding down for the evening.
Teachers can also bring Dial-A-Story into their classrooms as a quick, engaging read-aloud or listening activity to spark discussion and inspire a love of stories. This is another creative example of how Southwest ISD continues to make literacy accessible, joyful, and community-wide.

Library Displays
It's officially November! This month, we celebrate Native American Heritage Month by featuring books written by or about Native Americans. Students can also find a display of "perfect pairs" - a fiction book paired with a related nonfiction book. The Genre of the Month is nonfiction- food, and this month's small display is in honor of Veterans Day.
